Laylah ali, her painting and drawing seems like a cartoons when I first saw her artworks. I found her art work from season 3 'power'. I think her artworks would express minor group of people and their protest for something. I think her works has something messages. Unfortunately, Real player didn't work so I could not watch each video clips. but I can enough to feel her artworks through slide show.

Public art tour

Last Friday, I went to the Chicago art institute with my friends again because I recommended watching Munch's artworks. I surprised ticket price was $17 when we tried to buy ticket for munch. Anyway, we visited to the Public art in Chicago too. Sometimes, I walked around there as often as I went to downtown. I think that place would make to Chicago more like a Chicago. The public art in Chicago which art works, music, nature, relaxing and human can be in harmony would be the best place in Chicago.

Reflection of ART Institute trip

This learning by inspection at ART Institute is not my first. I already had been there when I came to here for trip 2years ago. At that time, I vaguely thought that I should go to museum because I’m tourist. As a result, I didn’t appreciate many exhibitions well. Anyway, this time, I could concentrate to appreciate more than before and I could read some information of exhibitions for using my improved English skills. Also when I found the self portrait of Vincent van Gogh at the European gallery, I was really excited because In my elementary school days, always I have thought which I could see real things. also I was looking forward to see the scream of munch. However unfortunately, I could see kind of sketches of the scream. Anyways my class mate’s explaining about painting give to me a lot of new idea. In addition I could get new sense of sight about appreciation throughout discussion with my team.

My first impression is seems like landscape in some day of autumn when I first see that painting. But It is not simply drawn as landscape picture like a fantasy world. You can watch some fire in upper of right the corner of picture also notice someone who is like a princess in nursery story was drawn. The painter has intent to express that picture as one scene of some country ‘s mythological story. I think that picture has good balance and proportion because this picture was divided into equal parts in north and south. In addition, the color sense of green and yellow are much contrastive. And I cannot feel any sense of rhythm and emphasis because I’m difficult to recognize the theme at picture

In this picture, Men and women stand coner of wall in the night.Generally it means very dark and nobody can't see their action. Also women who has a traditional scarf can't contect men's eyes but she is smilling. And when I see men's eye, I feel he want to tell something to her.
